Bruce Richardson, founder of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas in Kentucky, has been at the forefront of the American tea renaissance for over 30 years. Because of his passion for both tea and art, Bruce has received commissions to design custom tea blends for many museums across the country including the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, The Yale Center of British Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. In 2011, he was named Tea Master for the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum and he has served for over a decade as a contributing writer for TeaTime magazine.
Bruce is the author and editor of a dozen books about tea, including The New Tea Companion, The Book of Tea, and A Social History of Tea. He has been a frequent speaker at World Tea Expo since its inception and his speaking engagements have taken him to China, Japan, Canada, and across the United States. A graduate of the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Academy, Bruce is equally at home lecturing about his state’s best-known beverage – bourbon.
